Scoring
All games are to be scored on DartConnect.
Starting the Game
- The home player has the option to throw first at the bullseye.
- Closest to the bullseye throws first game. From there, players alternate games.
- If both players hit a single bull or double bull, both players must throw again.
- If there is a bounce out, the player will throw again.
- If your opponent knocks your dart out of the dartboard, both players throw again.
- If your opponent Robin Hoods your dart, the scorer will remove the dart and you will throw again.
- If the first player throws a single or double bull, the second thrower may choose whether it is pulled from the dartboard for a clearer shot.
- The scorer determines who is closer to the bullseye. The scorer may not touch the darts. If the scorer is unsure, both players throw again.
Player Age
All players must be 21 or older because matches are played in a venue that serves alcoholic beverages.
Promotion to a Higher or Lower Division
Players in any division can be promoted to the next highest division only if the bottom players in the higher division have lower statistics. This is determined by combining Cricket and 501 statistics.
Scoring Rules
- A player must not touch their darts until the scorer and player have agreed on the score.
- If a player pulls their darts before the scorer has seen and agreed on the score, the penalty is loss of that turn’s score.
- The scorer may tell a player what amount is left if asked, but if the scorer is wrong, the darts count as thrown.
- It is the player’s responsibility to know their own score.
Playing
Toeline
Both feet must be behind the throwline. If your opponent is not behind the throwline, you may ask the scorer to tell them to stand behind it. If the player is in front of the throwline on their next throw, the scorer may ask them to throw again. If the player does it a third time, they forfeit that game.
Time Limit
All darts must be thrown by and from the hand. A player is allowed 3 minutes to complete their turn. No darts may be thrown after 3 minutes. IAW ADO General Rules #20.
